Graduation Day – 26.08.2018
J.J. College of Engineering and Technology had celebrated its 20th graduation day on 26th August 2018 Sunday at 11.00 am in the college Auditorium. Dr. S. Subbaiyah, Former Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi was the chief guest of the day. He delivered his graduation day address to the graduates. He had also conferred the degree for around 799 graduands. He was very glad to present himself in the college in the great occasion.
He felt happy that Engineering graduates are budding roses in India. He also stated that Indian People/ Engineer are more talented compared to other countries.Graduation day is the happiest moment to each and everyone like Wedding day. This day is also very important in our life. He praised all, our Chairman, Management, Trustees about their second experience in the field of education. He had also ensured that employment will be made for all graduates by Dr. S. Ramamoorthy, Secretary, JJ Group of Institutions & Chairman of Sowdambika Group of Institutions. He had insisted the graduands to thank their parents for their sacrifice sincere love towards their children. Next to Parents Teachers and Professors are to be thanked and respected who had encouraged the students to get into higher positions. He had quoted few Gurus and Disciples for Teacher-Student relationship like Alexander & Aristotle, Beema Rao & Ambedkar, Abdul Kalam & Siva Subramanian, Swami Vivekananda & Sri Ramakrishna Paramahmasar. He had also praised our Indian Culture, Tradition and our Tamil language which was treated as an official language in many foreign countries. He had applauded by quoting Nalanda University. He quoted about Robert browning’s words “to set a goal”. In 2006 he joined in Alagappa University as a lecturer for temporary post. At that time his senior professor questioned that what would he like to become in future? His answer was to become as Vice-chancellor of Alagappa University within 2020. But he was appointed as VC in 2015 itself. All this success is because of his determination and desire to win.
Dr. S. Ramamoorthy, secretary, J.J. Group of Institutions and Chairman, Sowdambika Group of Institutions had presided the function. Mr. G. Ravichandran, Joint- Secretary and Mr. A.K.K. Ravichandran, Mr. R. Chendur Selvan, Sowdambika Group of Institutions & Mr. P.S.K. Karuppiah, Correspondent PSK School, Trustees of JJ Group of Institutions & Mr. P. Gandhi, Ex. President, Ammapettai, are participated in this grand function. Dr. S. Sathiyamoorthy, Principal, JJCET Felicitated the graduation day by his graceful words. He had also thanked all the students, Faculty members, Technicians, Press People, Parents and the management for making the ceremony a grand success.
